Akeem Benn is an associate attorney at GGH, where she practices transactional corporate and securities matters. Prior to joining GGH, Akeem practiced real estate transactional law, focusing on commercial and residential property development. Akeem received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School, where she was a member of the Black Law Students Association, the Center for Urban Business Entrepreneurship, and the Journal of Law and Policy. Akeem represented startups, entrepreneurs, businesses, and cooperatives at the Brooklyn Law Incubator and Policy Clinic, Corporate and Real Estate Clinic, and Community Development Clinic at Brooklyn Law School, where she earned the Judge Doris A. Thompson and Judge Edward Thompson Award for Excellence in Professional Skills in recognition of her clinical skills. Akeem has also worked at S&P Global Market Intelligence and at Manhattan Skyline. Akeem earned a B.A. in English from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and is a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society.
